SeniorCRE is building the operator-controlled operating infrastructure for senior housing & care — a canonical operating record above the clinical, workforce, census, billing, and compliance systems operators already run. The platform is built and validation-exercised internally; the next six months are about proving it in the first operator deployments, not scaling headcount.
That is why this is a fractional seat rather than a full-time executive search. We are buying senior technical leadership in its lowest-disruption, compliance-first form: someone who governs architecture, owns the security and HIPAA program, and steadies a small founding engineering team through cutover — without pulling focus or cash toward an org-building exercise the company does not yet need.
Start is trigger-based, not date-based. The engineering team is completing the AWS port. We are deliberately not adding this seat mid-port. The seat activates when the port completes — currently tracking to early September — so the first weeks are spent on compliance groundwork rather than untangling an in-flight migration.
First deliverable: the scoped SOC 2 Type II engagement. Post-port, connect Vanta to the AWS environment, inventory and close control gaps, and open the three-plus-month observation window. That work is the audition. It is concrete, time-boxed, and independently verifiable — and it tells both sides whether a broader technical-leadership scope makes sense afterward.
This is not shared or advisory. Our infrastructure advisor advises on infrastructure, compliance mechanics, and cutover; he does not lead the HIPAA program. This seat does.
What this seat does not own. Product direction sits with the CEO today. Clinical safety is a separate fractional seat — the Clinical Safety Officer — and is not folded into this role. Team-building at scale is deferred: if the engineering team grows to five or six, that is the trigger for a full-time engineering leader, not an expansion of this scope by default.
